What Do You Look for in a Health Blog?

By Trevis Gleason
Published Feb 9, 2016

Everyday Health, the host of our Life With Multiple Sclerosis blog community, is cohosting an international gathering of healthcare bloggers in a couple of months. I will be attending and giving a workshop at this event, but more on that later.

For now, as a part of the preparation for the event, we are looking for your opinions. By taking this short survey, you will be helping me and the other presenters better understand what people reading healthcare blogs are looking for in online content.

It seems funny to think of our nearly decade-long conversation as “online content.” We have become so much more than a bunch of login names and anonymous postings. We have, in so many senses of the word, become a community.

Don’t Be Shy — Share Your Opinions!
I have taken the survey, and it can be done in about 10 to 15 minutes. The answers you give will help other bloggers understand what people want when they search the Internet for health information.

Between you and me, I can tell you that the way we have come together over the years is of no small interest to the healthcare world.

The upcoming blogger summit will cover a wide range of chronic and acute conditions and is expected to touch on a wide range of topics for the bloggers in attendance. As I said, I’ll have more information about the conference to share with you in a few weeks’ time.

Until then, I once again ask you to take the survey so we can help other communities learn from our successes (and perhaps our mistakes as well).

Thanks a million, in advance.

Wishing you and your family the best of health.
