Amy Perrin Ross, APN, MSN, CNRN, MSCN, Receives Prestigious Multiple Sclerosis Nursing Award

Amy Perrin Ross, APN, MSN, CNRN, MSCN, has received the June Halper International MS Nursing Award from the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN). This award is given each year to an MS nurse who demonstrates excellence in MS nursing and a commitment to MS patient care, education, creative interventions, research, advocacy and leadership. Perrin Ross received the award earlier this year at the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers meeting.

“It was a tremendous honor to be recognized by my peers for years of working on behalf of people with MS and their families,” Perrin Ross said. “None of this would have been possible without the support of the Loyola community.”
Perrin Ross is certified by the American Board of Neuroscience Nurses and by the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing International Certification Board. She is an advanced practice nurse who serves as the Neuroscience program coordinator at Loyola. She also manages the MS clinic. In 1976, Perrin Ross began her career at Loyola as a nurse’s aide. She has worked as a neuroscience nurse for Loyola since 1977.

Perrin Ross obtained her bachelor of science in nursing and master of science in nursing degrees from Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing.

Perrin Ross is a member of the board of directors for the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. She also is a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the National Medical Advisory Committee, the Health Care Advisory Council for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America and the European Multiple Sclerosis Professionals Board of Governors.
