A Week Without an MS Fall

It’s been a week today since my last fall!

I guess I didn’t realize how often I’ve been falling of late, but it’s been an MS fall-free seven days. Caryn returned home from a business trip last evening, and I was able to report that relative success to her.

It was a busy week as C was on two different trips in two separate countries in the past ten days. My dear old friend (and our Everyday Health editor) Rose visited with her daughter for a couple of nights. Some travel planning for the east coast leg of my book tour had to be completed. I’ve been pretty maxed out, you might say.

I’ve also felt stretched.

I had to “med-up” to make sure I could be a good host without Caryn to help out. I needed to call in a bit of help to ready the house. The dogs didn’t get many walks in, even though the weather was unseasonably lovely. I’ll also admit to letting a couple of blog deadlines slip this week.

But what had to get done got done, and I’ll not deny that I had an enjoyable time with friends. AND, I didn’t fall!

It’s taken me quite some time to feel close to normal since my return home from the launch of my book Chef Interrupted last month. Even at that, I’ll admit that I’m not yet back to baseline.

Perhaps I have been overly cautious as over a month of hitting the deck or the wall or some piece of furniture is not the best way to count the days. Maybe I’m “getting better.” Who knows? Whatever the reason, I have gone seven days without a fall after about a month of falling every day.

Today, I celebrate a fall-free week because, as we all know, with MS it’s all relative.

Wishing you and your family the best of health.

Cheers,

Trevis
