Canes for a Cure - Fueling Multiple Sclerosis Awareness and Research

Top & Derby has launched a Limited Edition version of its award winning cane in support of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness and Research. The company's "enable" initiative promotes Canes for a Cure as its tag-line to raise money for the cause.

When discussing the initiative, Ben Grynol, CEO, said: "There are a lot of debilitating diseases that go unnoticed, because people have heard of them, but don't really know what they are. In our case, Multiple Sclerosis was a disease which tied into our mission." With approximately 2.3 Million people affected by MS worldwide, Top & Derby's initiative is a small, but important, step in helping to generate further awareness for the disease.

"The more that people are creative about raising awareness for specific causes, like the way in which the Ice Bucket Challenge raised money and awareness for ALS, the more that society will continue to be educated about certain illnesses. Launching this cane is the least we could do to support those who've supported us," added Creative Director, Matthew Kroeker.

For the initiative, the company has released its cane and packaging in the MS awareness color – Pantone 158. The cane is being launched during MS Awareness week, March 2-8, 2015 and will be available for purchase exclusively through Top & Derby's website. Proceeds from the sale of each cane will be donated directly to MS organizations in Canada and the United States.
